(April 2, 2013) — It sounds more like fiction that reality: a computer app that’ll actually tell you how much time you spent on Facebook, YouTube, Tumblr, Twitter. And its name is RescueTime. Endorsed by Hank Green and featured as an editor’s choice app on PC Magazine, RescueTime is an indispensable time-tracking app that is easy to customize and set up with easy to-read-reports. RescueTime has two components: a downloaded application the size of a song that installs locally on your computer and a website where you can see charts of how productive you are and where you can change settings. I was shocked at the gargantuan amount of time I had spent over each week on these sites. The height of the distracting red bar graph made me question whether I was really spending my time the way I wanted to. Even though the charts and graphs of how productive you are can only be viewed online, RescueTime is still an amazing, free time-tracking app that made me more aware of how I spend time on my computer. Compared to other time-tracking apps like Slife, RescueTime is an efficient and effective incentive to get more done in the same amount of time you alw
