(October 17, 2012) — Shop #1 Java Brew – Montrose Java Brew Coffee House is a small cafe and shop that is often visited by people who live near it. I recommend trying one of the lattes, since the coffee is standard. One positive thing about the shop is that they serve salads and paninis in addition to just caffeine and breakfast items. The shop also has quite a bit of wood, but it does has outdoor seating which makes it less claustrophobic. The drawback is that the location is not convenient if you live anywhere else but Montrose, and that it isn’t open on Sundays, so if you did happen to go to the farmers market, it wouldn’t be possible to stop by for coffee. They serve some drinks that won’t be found on the Starbucks menu, but other than that, they serve typical espresso concoctions, baked good, juices, and sandwiches and wraps. The shop has one of the most seating available since it has a large pavement in front of it. The location is more convenient if you live in Glendale. The espresso bar is next to the restaurant BJ’s and is walking distance from the Americana. I wouldn’t recommend going if you like things to be strong or boldly-flavored. Address: 101 N. It’s a small 24-hour punk rock coffee shop on Brand.The coffee is fantastic, and the service is friendly and down to earth. The shop has a grey and red color scheme, with metal and glass accents. It is a little bare because it’s a new place, but I don’t think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. Be warned: when you order a strong coffee, you’ll get a strong coffee, and nothing less.
