(October 27, 2011) — Boy bands these days seem to only last two or three albums, but there is yet another up and rising group trying to make the best out of their predictable, short career. Mindless Behavior is said to be a group of talented young men, when in reality, they’re an average wannabe hip-hop group of teens. Hardly teens at that, being only thirteen. Their newest single, “Mrs. Right,” is supposed to be about how a girl in their life loves them. If that’s so, then the song’s chorus shouldn’t be about finding that girl. The lyric that sticks to their fans’ heads is, “Where is Mrs. Right, I’ve got to find her.” Only 13 and already looking for the girl of their dreams, they obviously need a wake-up call. The members of Mindless Behavior seem to have somehow come up with the idea that they know a bit about love. Their upcoming album, #1 Girl, is supposed to be all about teenage love and their carefree lifestyle. These kids think they’re old enough to understand love, when they’re barely teenagers themselves. It’s cute that they believe in all that fairytale love, but it’s only cute and cute generally isn’t taken seriously by most people. At least they featured a somewhat respected music artist, Diggy Simmons, in their song. Like any typical music group, Mindless Behavior dances along with their singing. Sure they can dance well, but they definitely wouldn’t qualify to be on America’s Best Dance Crew. There just isn’t anything special about their dance moves, nothing new or fresh. Just like the lyrics of their song, the creativity of the music video is just as low. It’s pretty straight through with the video matching the lyrics, which describe girls from all over the world. Some people listen to lyrics and others are more interested in the image. Their music is intended to be a mixture of hip hop and R&B and their image is supposed to represent a stylish, futuristic look. The producers must have thought that they needed to use words like “epic” and “sleek” to describe the group to draw attention to them.
