(November 23, 2004) — Former student Jan Roa of the class of 2003 passed away Saturday morning, Nov. 13, due to complications that are still undertain. Roa attended Clark for all four years and later went on to attend UC Riverside where he was a sophomore this year. His funeral was held Nov. 20 at St. James church in La Crescenta, where all those who wished to pay respects to Roa and his family attended. Roa’s friend and former Clark student, Chris Kang said, “It came as a shock to me.” According to Kang, Roa was in the hospital for a week and then was moved to ICU for recovery, when he developed a fever and passed away. Another former Clark student and a friend of Roa, Kevin Kwon, said that Roa had “a lack of rest [and was] delusional . . . seeing things.” Kaiser Hospital was unable to comment on the circumstances of Roa’s death.
