(November 29, 2000) — After three weeks of intense competition, the undefeated St. Louis Cardinals came out the victors, beating the Atlanta Braves in the 2000 Clark World Series Oct. 31. Over 120 students in 12 teams competed in Clark’s second baseball intramurals, each aimed at winning the championship. Only one girl, sophomore Racine Ramirez, competed in the tournament. When the dust settled and the fields cleared, the Cardinals ended up defeating the rest of the pack. The Cardinals, led by Justin Renteria, scored a dominating 64 runs in a total of five games.
