(February 25, 2010) — Sophomore Arpy Zargarian dashed quickly down the stairs of her house on Feb. 14. Waiting in the driveway in a car was sophomore Randi Robins and her sister. As soon as Zargarian got into the car, both Robins and she looked at each other and yelled “MOTION CITY SOUNDTRACK! AHH!” Wasting no time, they made their way to the House of Blues on Sunset to see the band perform their newest album, My Dinosaur Life . Yes, it’s true, Motion City Soundtrack has now released their fourth album and a review of the album by AP Magazine said, “Motion City Soundtrack have made the best album of their career and easily one of the best albums of 2010 or any other year.” To top that off, AP Magazine gave them five stars, which is a very rare rating in most cases when it comes to judging new albums. Since the debut of their newest album, they have been on tour since Dec. 18. As for more positive feedback on My Dinosaur Life , Sputnik Music also agreed that it was an excellent album. Aside from all the positive reviews of the album, they also put on a good performance; at least that’s what most Clark students say after watching them live from Vans Warped Tour and Bamboozle Festival. “Compared to their recording, they are much better live,” said sophomore Lori Kassabian. “I love watching them perform because they give such a great performance and they deliver a good set now and then.” Kassabian, Zargarian and Robins agree that Motion City Soundtrack never fails to disappoint and cannot wait for more concerts to be held in Southern California. “I love how in most of their shows, the band throws guitar picks, drum sticks, and more so that fans like us can keep them in memory,” said Arpy Zargarian. There are diehard fans out there and many students who still don’t know who Motion City Soundtrack is. Randi Robins’ said, “They really are a great band; people should give them a try and listen to them.” Whether you are into rap, country, or even 80’s music, “as long as you like to have fun and are willing to listen to new music, you will definitely fall in love with Motion City Soundtrack’s new album, My Dinosaur Life, ” said Kassabian.
