(March 26, 2004) — Most students spend a majority of their after school time—aside from doing homework—doing things that they enjoy. One of these many enjoyable things is to play video games, mainly those of the strategic persuasion. At Clark, the latest “buzz” in videogames is Gunbound. For nearly four months now, students have been rushing to download the 90 megabyte file, flooding the Gunbound website. “I remember when there were three main servers to chose from and virtually no one played,” said sophomore Jason Tom. If you’ve ever played any game from the Worms series, then you are already accustomed to the game play in Gunbound. The main aspect of the game is to move the machine you control to administer attack to the opposing team. The goal of either team is to eliminate the opposing team. However, this game’s ludicrously addicting nature may cause players to neglect schoolwork.” Sophomore Anthony Abraham said, “I sometimes spend anywhere from 3-4 hours playing with constant nagging from my mom to get me off the computer.”
