(May 8, 2009) — An old dusty yearbook can be spotted at every school library. At first glance it doesn’t seem to represent much but from my own experience I can tell you that every page holds its own story. Publications…, Associated Student Body…, Pubs…, ASB, there comes a time when some students take the advantage to join one of these life learning classes. Which would you pick? Well, obviously I made a choice, I stand as a creator of our unforgettable school memories. I capture moments of joy, silliness, awkwardness, and moments that you will look back and laugh at. Dedication, punctuality, responsibility, and effort are some of the bold traits typical of a publication’s student. It is also a valuable experience to gain better writing, communication, and cooperation skills to be used in the work place. If you think this does not apply to you now, it will someday. All your hard work will pay off in the end, whether it is a monthly article or a polished yearbook. Now, you may be struck with the appalling thought that many years from now your yearbook will just be collecting dust, but what makes this class worth the while, is that the memories stored inside the book will never be lost. What about ASB? They are our student government, who regulate and organize the school events. They raise money for the activities that take place at our school. Events like Movie Night and Senior Prom would not color our yearbook without ASB’s hard work and determination to see them through. Their efforts and work are appreciated and in the long run the yearbook is a collection of our high school experience. In fact, ASB creates the memories, students participate and Publications documents. Without this collaboration, our high school experience would not be as colorful.
