(June 13, 2005) — Never miss your favorite television shows again. The new VTV-101 TV Wristwatch from NHJ Limited allows you to watch television even on the go. This portable television has a 1.5” color screen that delivers a high-resolution image of better quality than standard television. The earphones that plug into the miniature television also serve as the antenna, and deliver excellent sound quality and reception. The screen has vivid color, and is crisp, allowing the viewer to see details as small as text displayed onscreen. The sound format is only monaural through the included earphones, so no surround sound, which is plenty sufficient for a television on the go. The VTV-101 is powered by a lithium battery, which lasts about 60-90 minutes, and the battery recharges in approximately 90 minutes. However, with an additional four AAA Alkaline batteries, the television can be watched for about three hours. As for the actual watch functions, the watch display shows time, as well as the date and remaining battery life. The unit is slightly bulky, measuring just over 18 mm in height, is almost 46 mm wide and 49 mm long. However, even at these measurements, it only weighs 55 g, or approximately one-tenth of a pound without accessories. The television works in temperatures ranging from 32°F-95°F and in 20%-80% humidity, meaning it should work nearly anywhere and at anytime. The VTV-101 can be purchased at any online store that sells electronics, but can cost upwards of $200. However, this unit has been seen at Target for about $180. If you really cannot live without television, it is definitely worth the investment to be able to keep yourself entertained on long road trips and airplane flights.
