(June 14, 2007) — Between your iPod, cell phone and Bluetooth, it is becoming almost impossible to keep everything fully charged and ready to go. The wires seem to get jumbled up all on their own, making the process of plugging in your devices even longer as you try to figure which plug belongs to which device. But with the new Chargepod system from Callpod, which was released last month, the simple task of charging your everyday gadgets will become even easier. The nifty six-port charging device allows you to charge all your devices from a single power outlet. According to geeksugar.com , the Chargepod can charge your PDA, iPod, cell phone, headset, MP3 player and other devices regardless of manufacturer or brand. The Chargepod can safely charge all of your devices without frying your cell phone or iPod. The voltage regulator is accompanied by a variety of power adapters to make the Chargepod a secure and reliable gadget. The Chargepod is accompanied with a base station for connecting devices, a power cable, a carrying pouch and a user manual. The Chargepod is designed with a blue indicator light in order to make sure that your device is charging. Also, the light weight and small shape of the Chargepod make it practical to take with you as you travel. But there is a downside to the Chargepod: its high price. The Chargepod is available at the Callpod website at a base price of $49.95. The additional adapters for each device cost $9.95 each. If you would like to use your Chargepod on your computer or even in your car, you would need to purchase a USB adapter for $29.95 or a car adapter for another $19.95. Although the Chargepod can charge six of your devices at once, it cannot charge large devices such as a laptop. However, the Callpod website recently released that they are in the process of coming up with a new design called the Chargepod v2, which will charge devices with a higher power watt, such as a laptop.
