Pym Test Kitchen Is The Perfect Place To Live Out Your Marvel Dreams
Disneyland guests can get ready to team up with the Avengers and join Spider-Man to help protect New York in the new Avengers Campus located in California Adventure Park. They can make a pit stop at the new Pym Test Kitchen using “Pym Particles” to grow and shrink new innovations in food science. This restaurant is in reference to Marvel’s Ant-Man storyline, where Pym technology helps him change sizes. As diners make their way through the quantum tunnel to the kitchen laboratory, they can digitally watch the menu items morph and change in size.
On a recent visit, we were seated in the outdoor area with a view of live character shows, like Black Widow fighting off Dreykov and Spider-Man swinging over buildings. By watching the Avengers displaying their super hero abilities, it felt as if you were immersed in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and part of the main storyline.
Pym Test Kitchen offers phenomenal food with creative presentations to fit the narrative of Pym’s shrink and grow technology. The Not So Little Chicken Sandwich, clearly representing the resizing technology, with an oversized breaded chicken and a tiny brioche bun. The crispy and juicy chicken breast is emphasized with a spicy Sriracha mayo and citrus teriyaki sauce drizzled on top. The sandwich is also topped with a heap of pickled cabbage slaw that elevates the comforting flavor of the dish and brings it to a new level.
The Shawarma Palace is the perfect place to refuel after running around the campus. This location features a delicious hand held savory chicken shawarma wrap. The filling is a fragrant and perfectly seasoned chicken breast, with Moroccan spices that come through with every bite. The chicken is topped with a refreshing garlic spread that compliments the sweet and savoury seasoning of the Shawarma. The pillowy soft pita bread enhances the textures of every mouthwatering bite. This is a signature dish of the original Shawarma Palace located in New York city that perfectly pays homage to the home of the Avengers.
Though the food was incredible, the wait time to receive it was not. After ordering the food inside of the Pym Test Kitchen it took almost 45 minutes for the Not So Little Chicken Sandwich to arrive. Due to the heavy traffic flow, the restaurant decided to close the ability to place a mobile order. This affects a lot of peoples’ planned out schedules since now they can not order the food ahead of time and have it ready by the time they arrive.
With impeccable customer service, flavorful food, and a hint of Disney magic, Pym Test Kitchen and Shawarma Palace are the perfect places to refuel during your Disneyland adventure. This restaurant will make every visit end with a smile and the feeling of superhuman powers, waiting for your next Avengers experience.
