With 15 locations throughout Texas and California, La La Land Kind Cafe is known to promote kindness through its branding and decor, while also serving delicious drinks. Its opening in the Americana at Brand occurred in August 2024, drawing a huge crowd. With this new addition to the list of cafes in Glendale, giving fun alternatives to chains like Starbucks or Coffee Bean.
Each La La Land Kind Cafe location stays committed to creating an inviting space where kindness and community thrive. The second most recent location in the Americana provides a comfortable and warm environment for coffee enthusiasts or those looking for relaxation. It is conveniently located in front of Sur La Table, on the corner of Brand Boulevard and Caruso Avenue, replacing Coffee Bean which was in that location for several years.
The cafe is illuminated by the sunlight that shines through huge glass windows and is filled with mellow white and yellow colored
decorations. Seating found both inside and outside provides a way for visitors to soak up the radiated energy from the area.
Signature drinks at the cafe include different variations of matcha and espresso lattes, while flavored iced teas or coolers are also popular amongst sweet tooths. As a beginner matcha enthusiast, sophomore Lilit Isahakian from Clark Magnet High School enjoys trying and comparing matcha from different cafes. “Everyone is always happy and the place is very clean,” Lilit said. Her favorite drink is the “Cookies ‘n Dream Matcha Latte” because of its perfect blend and consistency. Since she is not used to the thick and bitter taste of matcha yet, she enjoys the sweetness La La Land drinks bring.

The price for the drinks ranges from four to almost eight dollars, which is similar to any trendy cafe. To add, their signature toasts, fresh pastries, and overnight oats always look appealing and delicious, so it is truly a must-try. Besides just drinks and food, they also have merchandise on sale. One can find apparel, drinkware, accessories, and home decor that contain their logo or kind messages.
With that, it is clear that residents of all ages in Glendale have welcomed La La Land very openly and warmly, as there is a long line almost any time of the day. The cafe’s buzz always brings curious customers, so it is not uncommon for it to get quite busy, with lines often stretching around the building. “The staff patiently makes sure us customers are satisfied and understand all the services they have to offer,” freshman Leana Asatourian said.
The staff are able to deal with this environment because they recognize that visitors are eager to experience the hype of the cafe. La La Land Kind Cafe is a convenient, fun, and photo-opp-worthy location to definitely try.
