The week leading up to the Homecoming dance was filled with another exciting Spirit Week, with daily themes to hype up students for the big day. Whether or not a student was able to come to the dance, they had the chance to dress up and demonstrate their school spirit. The week started with Mediterranean Monday, led to Matching Tuesday, Little White Lie Wednesday, Down By the Beach Thursday, and finally a fan favorite, free dress Friday. Unfortunately, despite ASB’s efforts, many students took advantage and broke the dress code. As a result, there is hesitation about whether or not another Spirit Week will take place.
On October 10, 2025, the fifth annual Homecoming dance took place at Clark’s amphitheater, with the theme, Mamma Mia. Although there were fewer students in attendance than last year, ASB successfully hosted a great night. Students were greeted by Mr. Bishop, Mrs. Mardirossian, and Mrs. Ohanian at the gates, where they checked in while being given glow sticks and meal vouchers by ASB members.
As the sun went down, students rushed to take pictures at the photo booth and started to fill the dance floor. Everyone wanted to get the perfect shot to capture this exciting night. Students jumped and danced to the music played by DJ Mansuryan, with smiles on their faces. “As a senior, this year’s Homecoming was special, as it was my last one with my closest friends. Spending the night in great company is something I will always remember, even after graduating,” senior Emily Titizyan said.

Students enjoyed the shawarma, waffle fries, and Caesar salad catered by Byblos Mediterranean Bakery, while they engaged in conversations around the beautifully decorated tables. ASB perfectly replicated the Mediterranean theme of Mamma Mia, with blue and white tablecloths, balloons, and tinsel streamers. Illuminating the dance floor with candles created an atmosphere similar to the islands of Greece, where many dancing scenes took place in the movie.
A night like this is difficult to plan, but it always has such a great outcome. “It feels good seeing our effort play out at events like this, especially when students give positive feedback. ASB works tirelessly to make sure decorations are perfect, so it is like a reward when people appreciate it,” senior Shant Gyurjyan said. Cheers to another Homecoming dance in the books and many more events to come!
