As the school year winds down and senioritis kicks in more and more, the most anticipated activities are the last few major senior events until summer swings in. The class of 2025 will be leaving Clark with countless unforgettable memories thanks to the meticulous planning of the ASB students and staff putting together all the events.
On Friday, May 23rd, 2025 prom was held at Noor Banquet Hall in Pasadena at 6:00 p.m. The 2024 prom was also held at this venue, and requested by the senior committee for the 2025 prom. The theme for the prom was Masquerade Ball. As seniors entered the venue, they were greeted with the table setup, including a black and white feathered centerpiece with a masquerade mask bringing it all together.
Seniors in ASB also worked to add a personal keepsake by placing keychains at every table setting, with CMHS Prom 2025 on one side and the panorama photo on the back. “I was more involved towards the tail end of the prom planning with details like the favors. It was really cool to see the behind the scenes part of the event before attending the prom. When we walked in, I knew all the hard work of the senior class had paid off,” ASB Director of Activities, Lia Khodaverdi said.
This year, Hoover High School’s prom was the same day, with a similar theme. Unfortunately, students from both schools had to choose which prom to attend. Many went to Pasadena City Hall and Brand Park for photos before the event.
Once everyone arrived, a line quickly formed at the photobooth and only got longer as more students showed up. After checking in and enjoying finger food, the doors opened to the main banquet hall at 7:00 p.m. Eventually, the appetizers were replaced, and dinner was brought out. The menu included pasta, ravioli, chicken, and rice.
Outside the banquet hall, students lined up at an ice cream cart offering an array of flavors from vanilla, chocolate, mint, to Cookie Monster (a bright blue scoop with Chips Ahoy cookies). There were also toppings like marshmallows, gummy bears, Fruity Pebbles, and more.
There were a lot of people involved in making this prom come to life. Ms. Wilson was the class advisor for the class of 2025 until she went on leave in January. Coach Frazer was very helpful in taking over to finish the year out as the class advisor. “My favorite part of working on the prom details was being able to do it with my class. Everything was done as a group, and I made so many memories through it all. I learned a lot through this experience,” senior class treasure Mane Ghazaryan said.
Even with food available, most students were eager to head straight to the dance floor. DJ Eric caught on quickly and started playing iconic tracks to get the energy up. From that point on, the dance floor stayed packed for most of the night, with only brief breaks, mainly for the announcement of prom court or to grab a quick drink or bite to eat.

ASB President Lily Tanossian took over the microphone and declared Aleen Yadegarian and Phillip Sahakian as prom queen and king, with Mane Ghazaryan and Eduard Tunyan as prom princess and prince. “I was in so much shock when they announced my name as prom queen, I honestly would’ve never expected it,” Yadegarian said. “If you told my freshman self that that was going to happen, she would have never believed it.” The dancing resumed shortly after the announcement until people started to leave.
As the night wrapped up, there was a quiet mix of emotions in the air—part nostalgia, part excitement for what’s next. Tata Simonyan’s “Verjin Zang” (Final Bell) played, drawing in those who stayed until the end. The lyrics seemed to capture how students were feeling: grateful for the memories and aware that graduation is just around the corner. With only a few events left, it’s clear these last moments together really count.
