Students peek into the main office to see the new faces in the counselor offices. This year, we welcome not one, but two new counselors to our campus.
This is Mrs. Armine Boyadzhyan’s first year as a counselor, and she is eager to help the students at Clark find their interests and goals. She is ready to help students — like college applications, family issues, grades, and more — with all the resources she has available to her.
Mrs. Boyadzhyan has previously worked with Burbank Unified School District, familiar with all grade levels — elementary, middle, and high school — as a behavior intervention specialist who helps students improve their fine motor skills.
Clark’s new counselor is a proud graduate of Glendale High School and jumped at the opportunity to come back to Glendale Unified School District. When she found out the opening was for Clark Magnet, she was thrilled because the environment and students are academically driven . “The students here are so motivated to go to college and they’re self starters,” Boyadzhyan said.
With her experience at different schools and districts, Ms. Boyadzhyan comes to Clark with a fresh perspective. She is really enjoying the Clark student population and loves that Clark students are highly motivated and willing to speak up to get support so they can succeed.
After attending GHS, Mrs. Boyadzhyan attended GCC and PCC simultaneously and got an associates degree in Psychology. She then transferred to Cal State Northridge where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and then earned her masters in Educational Psychology at National University.
This year Mrs. Boyadzhyan hopes all of her senior students achieve their A-G requirements and reach their true potential. Most importantly, she hopes to give her students support as they navigate through their high school years.
