The wait for a delicious burger, chips, and a drink – all for $10 – spurred an abundance of delight and eagerness for Clark students as they sat through the annual Spring Rally. This year, Clark’s rally took a twist to its usual structure. Along with a free dress day and an extended lunch with activities, ASB brought in the In-N-Out truck which was stationed in front of the school.

This is the first time in years Clark has won the lottery to bring in the truck, and the school’s ASB sold 403 burgers. The entire day was structured to create a sense of motivation and relaxation for students as upcoming AP tests, senior projects, and finals draw near. Classes were only one hour each, providing plenty of time for the rally, activities, and of course, for students to enjoy their In-N-Out.

“The In-N-Out Truck coming to Clark’s Spring Rally was a great way to ease our stress with all the upcoming AP exams and finals,” Junior Amna Fadel said. “It truly made the rally different than before and more memorable.”

Students with tickets poured into the lines, hungry for their burgers. The lines became extremely long and crowded, causing some students to feel anxious and impatient. However, with a system of numbered tickets that prevented cutting and shoving, soon every student who had purchased a ticket was able to get their food long before the end of lunch.

“The truck definitely brought more excitement because our classes haven’t been able to experience something like this before,” Junior Hailey Wong, the ASB Director of Activities, said. “Even though the lines were a bit long and chaotic, once things were more under control, the event went very smoothly, and there was much more spirit among the students.”

The In-N-Out truck definitely brought a great sense of enthusiasm and a much needed break for the students and staff. The event was a wonderful way to kick off the week and slowly drizzle into testing.
