Hoover High School’s 2016 prom took place on May 20 at the Mountaingate Country Club located in  Los Angeles, a venue had been used once before for the Hoover High School prom.

The seating was outside and the dancing was inside; there was also a place to take professional photos. There was a total of 250 students and guests. “We were all freezing at first, but once the dancing started and everyone went inside everyone warmed up,” said Hoover High school senior Selia Didaryans.

Hoover High School senior Liana Bedroosian was really was surprised at how great the food tasted. “I heard from before that usually the food at prom is not that good but the food at Mountaingate Country Club was amazing,” she said. “I really loved the seasoned potatoes.”

Some seniors chose to take pictures before the prom at Brand Park and Griffith Park.

The DJ played music that went from American to rap to Arabic and some Armenian selections.

Some students left early to go to after-parties and some went to eat after the event, but the prom remained crowded until midnight.
