During enrichment on Friday, Sept. 19, ASB students went out into the grass area behind the staff parking lot where they played a game that, in theory, was meant to embarrass each other so that ASB students would be more comfortable with each other.

The game itself consisted of two rounds. During the first round, the contestants were secretly told a name of an animal. There were total of six animal names. Afterwards, the contestants were to close their eyes and find their fellow mates of the same species by making appropriate sounds. For example, a fellow that was a cow was to moo until his fellow cows would find him.

The group of animals that would gather together would be the winner. “It was rather embarrassing,” said Levon Gevorkian, junior class vice president.

The second round included the same ground rules, except instead of closing eyes and listening to the sounds of animals, they were supposed to find each other by making appropriate movements all the while not talking and telling each other what animals they were.

After the activity, Robert Herrin, director of clubs, said the activities were “very fun, considering you and your classmates embarrassed each other.” Gevorkian said that he came up with the activity for the first Friday, while this last activity was run by juniors Kristin Khoudoyan and Kristine Shahverdyan. Future activities such as these are planned during the rest of the school year, according to the ASB officers.
