“My dog Cookie is the one where no matter what is going on in my life, he’s able to cheer me up and put me in a better mood. There’s days where I come home from school and I’m in a bad mood, whether it’s from school or an argument or disagreement between my friends, and just being able to see Cookie makes me so happy. Additionally I feel as if taking care of my dog opened me up emotionally to be more caring towards animals, and I even volunteer at an animal shelter on Sundays because of how much I appreciate the existence of animals because that’s when I’m at my happiest. I definitely see myself possibly having a career in the veterinary field.”
