Coffee House makes up for its generic name with its amazing service

Coffee house is located on Hillhurst Ave just south of Franklin.

LA is filled with an abundance of coffee houses inhabited by hipsters with tight pants and colorful shirts, reading lines for their upcoming audition or working on their scripts. These people tend to stay in these establishments for hours upon hours, so it’s typically a good sign when these places are busy. This is exactly the case with Los Feliz’s blandly titled yet flavorful eatery Coffee House.

Located on 1750 Hillhurst Ave., and attached to the equally amazing restaurant Home, this local favorite produces not only some of the best coffee in the area but also some terrific dishes and homemade baked goods perfect for anyone not looking for a huge meal. One of the best would have to be their breakfast sandwich, which consists of scrambled eggs, bacon, cheddar cheese and arugula placed in between two incredibly fresh, tasty brioche buns, which is arguably the best bread there is. Also, just about every single one of their pastries is terrific, from their delightfully moist muffins to their delectably dry scones.

As for the various coffee beverages, each of them are brewed, frothed and blended to perfection. For those looking for an uncomplicated, safe choice, the latte is absolutely exquisite. The taste is robust and smooth, with the perfect amount of froth on top. For those seeking a more daring drink, the cold brew is another truly magnificent selection. This specific kind of coffee is the latest trend that’s been hitting shops around LA, as it utilizes the unconventional method of nitro-brewing, which is the infusion of nitrogen. This enhances the strength of the coffee and makes for a thoroughly tremendous cup of joe.

This is the optimal place for people who are in the search for a quick bite and/or a great cup of coffee to get them through their day. But even if someone is in the mood for a more complete meal, luckily there’s an equally terrific restaurant literally right next door.
