Lana Del Rey stuns the audience
With flower crowns and indie dresses all around, one could feel the electrified vibe of the audience of Lana Del Rey’s May 18 show at the Hollywood Bowl. Although many people found her performance to be too short, it didn’t stop Lana from making thousands of fans scream and even cry.
For her Endless Summer Tour, Del Rey has teamed up with Courtney Love, so the audience got to see both artists perform. Fans chanted Lana’s name during Courtney’s performance but she was a good sport about it and opened the show hyping everyone up with her upbeat songs.
Del Rey is known for adoring her fans. During the three hour concert, she stopped several times to take pictures with fans, chat and sign their posters/lyric books. The ones sitting further away from the stage, including me, felt left out and upset, but still had an amazing time and enjoyed every second of the day.
After 16 amazing songs, including fans’ all time favorites “Born to Die,” “Blue Jeans” and “Video Games,” everyone rushed to the merchandise booths to get souvenirs from the night. Being as passionate fans as they are, some people bought hundreds of dollars worth of T-shirts, lyric books and posters.
The concert ended with a mind blowing performance of “Off to the Races” and a guitar solo by one of the band musicians. People left the amphitheater with smiles and excitement. It was truly a day to remember.
