Teenage girls every year without fail tend to circle back to their favorite fall show. Fans find comfort in the seasonal mood the show puts them in. The hit series Gilmore Girls, an American comedy-drama television series, first premiered in 2000 and quickly became a household name and a very admired show on Netflix. The show accumulated seven seasons by 2006 and later returned for a mini-series called A Year in the Life

The original series follows Rory and Lorelai Gilmore, an iconic mother-daughter duo as they navigate life in the fictional small town of Stars Hollow. Lorelai is a single mother raising a teenage daughter, in a small tight-knit community, as they experience many different life circumstances. The series keeps up with the two, alongside many characters such as Dean Forester and Luke Danes.

All of the series’ parts officially came to an end in 2016, but individuals still are captivated by this series every single day, as it continues to gain followers. It is no surprise that the show projects the fall season spirit through its warm fall colors like orange and red, a small family-like community, cozy vibes, and so on. The fans find comfort in returning to Stars Hollow every fall as the colder season approaches.

There are a lot of things that stand out about this favored series. One of the most prominent aspects of the show is Rory Gilmore’s relatable and youthful teenage personality. From feuding with a “popular” girl from her school to desperately studying to get into an ivy league school, further on into the later seasons.

Most teenage girls seem to connect to Rory’s mannerisms and how she portrays herself throughout the show. There is a big argument about if Rory makes the right decisions in her coming adulthood phase. These decisions will later affect her tremendously moving forward, which gives the audience something to ponder as they watch the show and people seem to relate to her uncertainty about her future.

The fashion of the show also leaves a major impression on viewers. The fashion in the series is mostly 2000’s fashion and most people aspire to acquire the fashion that the characters wear during the show, especially Lorelai and Rory Gilmore. The fashion of the show later influenced staple fall outfits, such as knitted cardigans and low-rise jeans from the 2010s to the present day.

It is no shock that this timeless series has gained and continues to gain popularity because of the mood and feel of the fall season that the writers and producers successfully portrayed so vividly. Most individuals agree that Gilmore Girls is a wonderful and captivating series to come back to every fall when feeling nostalgic.
