Arsen Garabekyan

“I started my karate training, which then developed into Mixed Martial Arts, in September of 2009, when I was 9 years old, and I’ve been doing this for almost 8 years. I went to different gyms and tried them out, but once I found my current gym [Glendale Fighting Club] it was like love at first sight. The number one thing that I’m thankful for from my training is the discipline and confidence I have, knowing I can protect myself whenever and wherever I am. I see myself competing in the future and debuting in professional MMA matches because I don’t want to throw away all these years of training and hard work. People view MMA as animals fighting in a cage, but to me it’s an art form because the fighters in the cage are fighting for what they stand for as competitors. Training and MMA made me the person I am today because not only has it kept me in shape and fit, but has also taught me how to present myself amongst everyone.”
